Acknowledging that the “C” in CMO stands for Cojones, today nFusion announced the timeline and panel of judges for the second annual Cojones Awards, a showcase of the industry’s boldest marketers to be held during the SXSW Interactive Festival.

The Cojones Awards are a lighthearted way to celebrate some heavyweight marketers. It takes a combination of ingenuity, science and guts to be a modern marketer today, where marketing cloud technology and rich customer data are enabling brands to deliver compelling, personalized content to digitally connected consumers.

The industry’s most successful marketers have proven they have the courage – the cojones – to adopt change for the benefit of their companies and themselves.

Last year’s winners included bold marketers from Fiat Chrysler Group, L’Oreal, GoPro, JetBlue, Smirnoff, Motorola Solutions and Samsung. Read more at

The Cojones Awards honor marketers in five categories:
1. Inspire: to build authentic brands with a sense of purpose
2. Be Bold: to disrupt the status quo and break out of the sea of sameness
3. Connect: to deliver meaningful customer experiences seamlessly across channels
4. Innovate: to implement new ways of engaging customers living a digital lifestyle
5. Transform: to build organizational capabilities to become modern marketers

This year’s awards panel of marketing veterans include:

Jennifer Rooney, editor of Forbes CMO Network (@jenny_rooney).

Rob Malcolm, former CMO of Diageo and currently executive in residence for the Center for Consumer Insight and Marketing Strategy at the University of Texas McCombs School of Business.
