Jazzy Jewels and MCA Create a Magical Makeover Moment for a Group of Bay Area Girls — MeyerInspired.com Captures Their Transformation
Tampa, FL (PRWEB) January 21, 2015 -- A group of Bay area girls started the year off with a fresh look and a new attitude thanks to a give-away sponsored by Jazzy Jewels. After receiving their makeovers, MCA (http://www.mcaads.com) gave the girls special gifts to keep the glamour going even after they left the salon, and photographer Lindsey Meyer of MeyerInspired.com captured every moment.
The girls were nominated by others who saw the offer made via Facebook by Alicia Henry, owner of Jazzy Jewels (http://www.jazzyjewelsparties.com). Based in Tampa at 8631 Gunn Highway, the company is made up of a team of creative, award-winning party planners.
“Some of our work can be seen on WFLA’s ‘Daytime’ talk show or in the #1 bridal magazine known as the Knot,” Henry said. “Whether you are a beautiful bride-to-be or an aspiring little princess, our team is here to make you feel like royalty.”
Jazzy Jewels offers a number of salon services for Kids (ages 2-12), Teens (13-17) and Adults; they include haircuts, styling, makeup, nails and makeovers. In addition, the company has party packages featuring a variety of themes, including Royal Princess, Rock Star, Spa, and Teen Makeover.
For the Bay area girls chosen via Facebook, the complimentary makeovers included hair styling, makeup, a manicure and pedicure, followed by the donning of a princess costume, a runway walk and karaoke.
"I decided to do this event to give back to some very deserving girls for the holidays. I wanted to make the girls feel like they were princesses for the day," Henry said. "It definitely made it all worthwhile when I saw the little girls’ faces light up when they looked in the mirror after their makeovers."
Families and friends of the nine girls who received the full Jazzy Jewels treatment also received an assortment of Meyer’s images to help them re-live their enchanting encounter for years to come. (A 10th girl selected via Facebook was not able to attend the event; however, she was given a consolation gift, organizers said.)
Meyer is an on-location photographer who specializes in what she calls “unique photography and editing that create a one-of-a-kind image.” Categories she captures include family portraits, events, glamour images, landscape, and corporate images and more.
"I was thrilled when Alicia contacted me to be part of this very special event,” Meyer said. “I loved capturing every moment and getting to take pictures for the girls so they could remember the special day. Seeing their huge smiles when I snapped their pictures—and printed out the image for them to take home—was a very special moment."
Hours of operation for Jazzy Jewels are: Monday-Wednesday by appointment only; Thursdays and Fridays, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; and, Saturdays, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sundays are reserved for “Parties Only.” In addition, studio space is available to rent for birthday parties, baby showers, bridal showers, ladies parties and networking events.
