Lajollacooks4u hosted three-day corporate conference for international food brand

Hosting the Innovation conference was an incredible opportunity to hone our cooking skills and have a lot of fun. It seemed that team members found it more effective to brainstorm and present ideas on food while being in a culinary environment.

Lajollacooks4u opened its kitchen to a large brand strategy and innovation company for their three-day series of market research meetings for their client, America’s leading seafood provider.

The agency reached out to Lajollacooks4u due to the cooking class company’s unique and inspiring venue, and established expertise in corporate team building events, that would aid their team in their intensive brainstorm and research sessions with their client. Lajollacooks4u was immensely flattered to be chosen by one of the most renowned strategic market research companies to host an innovation session for the company with an established household name.

Although Lajollacooks4u is set in the private home kitchen of Chef Jodi Abel, the space was easily transformed into a sophisticated conference space, rivaling a typical hotel banquet space. Lajollacooks4u’s conference space incorporated multiple table arrangements, a projector and presentation space, and conveniently had Chef Jodi’s kitchen only a few steps away.

While the teams were engaged in the research process, Chef Jodi and her staff steadily prepared the group’s meals, including breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Each meal was set-up buffet style, hot and fresh, for each scheduled break. Lajollacooks4u’s exceptional staff, working in shifts, assisted Chef Jodi through the 12-hour days.

Bringing outside knowledge into the kitchen, the market research agency welcomed two consumer panels and a celebrity nutritionist to Lajollacooks4u’s conference space to speak on various topics. The team also asked Chef Jodi to share her knowledge on what she’s learned from her guests, specifically what they are interested in learning while cooking and shopping. Each presentation was immediately followed with ideation sessions, where team members brainstormed on the ideas that were presented.

Lajollacooks4u received endless praises, as team members and executives from all over the world shared their joy from working with Chef Jodi and dining on Lajollacooks4u’s gourmet faire. The Research Director of the agency said, “This conference far exceeded my expectations; I would love to work with Lajollacooks4u again.”

The president of the agency shared that “the mind-share of the group was as productive as we had strategized. We would love to have Chef Jodi join us in our city for another Innovation session!”

The Senior Vice President of Marketing of the client company was sincerely impressed by every dish from Lajollacooks4u’s kitchen, and shared that she would love to have her team “come back for a team building event with Lajollacooks4u”
