In the first phase of the two-phase project, Australia’s Star Rated properties will have access to ReviewPro’s online reputation management platform and Global Review Index™ (GRI), the B2B online reputation score used by hotels worldwide as a benchmark for guest satisfaction, based on consumer review data collected from 142 online travel agencies (OTAs) and review sites in more than 45 languages. With these tools, Star Rated properties in Australia will obtain deeper insight into operational and service strengths and weaknesses from online feedback, so they can increase guest satisfaction and drive revenue growth. As Australia is one of the ten largest tourism destinations worldwide, and as the partnership provides ReviewPro’s solution to thousands of Australian properties, this represents a powerful new model for supporting hotel quality and improving guest experience across the country.

In the second phase of the partnership, ReviewPro’s Guest Rating Score™ will be available to consumers alongside the independent Star Ratings, delivering a powerful and reliable information source for travelers wanting to shortlist and book accommodation in Australia.

Today, ratings and reviews play a highly influential role in consumer decision-making. A 2014 study, “Online Guest Reviews and Classification Systems”, created by Chris Anderson of the Cornell Center for Hospitality Research and the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), underscored this, and revealed that 72% of hoteliers believe integration of guest reviews into official star rating systems is either “Extremely Important” or “Very Important.” As such, integrating ReviewPro’s guest feedback data and the Star Ratings is a very important step in improving transparency and providing potential guests with the most accurate information about each Star Rated property in Australia.
