NHTSA Administrator Mark Rosekind Will Provide Keynote Address at SAE International 2015 Government/Industry Meeting
WARRENDALE, Pa. (PRWEB) January 20, 2015 -- Mark R. Rosekind, PhD, Administrator of the National Traffic Safety Highway Administration (NHTSA) will provide the keynote address on Wednesday, Jan. 21 at the 2015 Government/Industry Meeting, which will be held Jan. 21-23, 2015, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Rosekind will speak at 9 a.m. in Room 145 AB.
The event is hosted by Daimler and will be co-located with the Washington Auto Show. The meeting’s theme will be “Future Vehicles: Integrating Safety, Environment and the Technology.”
Administrator Rosekind was sworn in at the 15th NHTSA Administrator on Dec. 22, 2014. In his role as Administrator, Dr. Rosekind pursues NHTSA’s core safety mission of saving lives, preventing injuries, and reducing crashes through all of the tools at NHTSA’s disposal—including enforcement authority, public awareness campaigns, support of technical innovation, and research into human behavior.
The SAE Government/Industry Meeting focuses on understanding how technology, regulations and legislation affect the design of light and heavy duty vehicles in terms of safety, environment and energy conservation. The technical program will include a multitude of relevant topics facing industry and regulatory professionals, including environmental, energy conservation and safety.
