One Man App Studio, Runsome Apps, Releases a Major Facelift for Its Latest Game, Blingword
New York (PRWEB) January 21, 2015 -- One man app studio, Runsome Apps, releases a major update for its latest game, Blingword.
Runsome Apps is the original creator of CandySwipe (a candy swiping game) which had moderate success over the past few years including millions of downloads and over 150 million game plays.
Runsome's latest game, Blingword, was originally released in 2013, but heavily neglected due to the many struggles of being an indie app developer.
Blingword itself is a unique word game app with a precious gems and metals theme where players swipe words to create words. All of the letters in the game are random and users can swipe away unwanted letters to set up for high scoring words.
The new Blingword, released January 20, 2015 has been completely redesigned from graphics, to game play mechanics, and added game modes.
The game mechanics of Blingword are not "cloned" from any other word game apps that may look similar from a distance. For instance: many other games have pre-determined words a player needs to search for, where Blingword has all randomly generated letters that players have to remove and strategize to create words. Another unique feature is players can back track over already selected letters to spell words that may not be immediately obvious (you really have to play it to appreciate this feature). The game has a zippy fast paced feel once you get into the zone.
Key new features include:
- 75 levels with a combination of challenges such as spelling specific words, best word score, time attack, and more.
- Arcade mode where users play against the clock for high scores.
- 5x5 random letter grid.
- Letter/Word multipliers in the four corners of the game board.
- Updated English dictionary with over 100,000 words.
Developer, Albert Ransom says, "I wanted to release a unique, quality, action word game with a different look, feel, and theme than the average player is used to. I look forward to getting users feedback on this new version and continuing to work to make Blingword the best app it can be."
Blingword is currently available for free on: Apple's App store, Google Play, and Amazon App Store.
