Veteran Energy Reaches $100,000 Donation Milestone
Houston, TX (PRWEB) January 26, 2015 -- As of today, Houston-based retail electric provider Veteran Energy has contributed more than $100,000 to nonprofit veteran support organizations. The company partners with reputable organizations to provide support to the community’s U.S. military veterans and their families.
“This is a great milestone and a testament to the care and support our customers have for veterans and military,” said company founder and Army veteran Kevin Barber. “When we started Veteran Energy, we wanted to make a difference in the lives of veterans, military and their families, and we achieve this every time someone uses electricity in the State of Texas. The customers are the people who made that happen. When we hear from these servicemen and women about the ways in which our Affinity Partners give them new hope, then we know all of us are doing the right thing.”
In addition to providing financial support, Veteran Energy is committed to providing veterans with career opportunities. The company assists veterans in the transition from military to civilian life and helps them build professional skills in a supportive environment.
Veteran Energy currently partners with 14 nonprofit organizations that provide veterans with medical, financial, educational and emotional aid. Support includes providing veterans with new housing, job searches, medical and mental health treatment, and even pets.
Veteran Energy provides electricity to residential, commercial and industrial customers in all deregulated areas of Texas.
