U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx Will Provide Lunch Keynote Address Thursday at SAE International 2015 Government/Industry Meeting
WARRENDALE, Pa. (PRWEB) January 21, 2015 -- Anthony Foxx, Secretary of Transportation for the U.S. Department of Transportation, will provide the lunch keynote address on Thursday, Jan. 22 at the 2015 Government/Industry Meeting.
Secretary Foxx will speak at 12:45 p.m. in Room 202 AB at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
The SAE Government/Industry Meeting is hosted by Daimler and will be co-located with the Washington Auto Show. The meeting’s theme will be “Future Vehicles: Integrating Safety, Environment and the Technology.”
As U.S. Secretary of Transportation, Foxx leads an agency with more than 55,000 employees and a $70 billion budget that oversees air, maritime, and surface transportation. His primary goal is to ensure that America maintains the safest, most efficient transportation system in the world. He joined the U.S. Department of Transportation after serving as the mayor of Charlotte, North Carolina, from 2009 to 2013.
Secretary Foxx plans to make two announcements during his address.
