Cardinal Components, Inc., a world leader in the timing solutions industry, and ZBA Corporation, a leader in Auto ID solutions, announced partnership in wireless and Bluetooth technology development for the IOT.

ZBA provides the software stack widely supported as the industry standard wireless protocol. It has been designed to simplify both hardware and software integration of Bluetooth and, consequently, is ideal for adding wireless and Bluetooth functionality to embedded IOT and M2M designs. ZBA supplies a wide variety of Auto ID products for more then 20 years. They provide high speed barcode scanners with high reliability linear imagers that meet or exceed the performance of most laser scanners.

Samples of the 4 new Bluetooth versions (Bluetooth 2.1 and Bluetooth 4.0) and (I2C versions of Bluetooth 2.1 and I2C Bluetooth 4.0 coming soon) for the new Electro-Set product line can be obtained by contacting Cardinal or one of its authorized distributors worldwide.

Sample quantity pricing is in the ~$25 range (depending on configuration), and 10k piece volume pricing is in the range of ~ $9 each (depending on configuration). ZBA supports multiple industries throughout the retail supply chain and distribution channel. The addition of the Wireless connectivity product line continues the

expansion of Cardinal Components’ into the IOT world expanding its Electro-Set product line.
