The main task of FolderMill is to monitor input files in the "hot folders" and to process them all according to the document processing standards set within a company. Available features include automatic conversion of incoming documents to PDF, JPG, or TIFF formats as well as printing them with any available printer.
FolderMill 2.0 can handle a wide list of documents types, including Microsoft Office Word files, RTF and plain text documents, Excel files, PowerPoint presentations, Visio drawings and charts, Microsoft Office Publisher and Adobe PDF files, XPS, JPG, PNG, PCX, DCX, Bitmap, GIF, TGA, TIFF images and documents.
FolderMill offers a user-friendly interface. It consists of just two folders: one for the source documents and another for the newly created PDF files or images. Usually, FolderMill is installed on the office server and can be accessed by every company employee.
There is no need to install any additional software applications: FolderMill ensures the conversion of all of the incoming files to the required output format with very little effort: simply by placing the documents into one folder and taking them out from another one!
What's new in this new version?
Starting from version 2.0, FolderMill uses a direct document conversion method instead of printing documents as PDF files or image files on the virtual printer. This new technology noticeably increases the program performance and makes the document conversion process much more reliable.
FolderMill 2.0 allows the printing of incoming documents. The list of supported printers includes any desktop jet and laser printers, network office printers, plotters and virtual printers that customers use for converting documents to Postscript, PDF or image files.
FolderMill 2.0 has made the system administrator’s control panel look nicer and more professional.
