Fortis Energy Services took delivery of their 15th workover rig in December and combined with new ancillary equipment, launched the Designed Solutions Initiative

Fortis Energy Services adds new Hubbard Rig to equipment lineup.

As we build comprehensive service packages and reduce the number of service providers on a given site at one time, we can deliver our customers savings of up to 20%, 30% and even 56%. Nathan Conway /CEO

The addition of the 15th rig and the acquisition of an assortment of ancillary mud pumps, tanks, and swivels underscores the rapid growth experienced by Fortis Energy Services in 2014. “By combining our service rigs with the ancillary equipment, Fortis is able to work with our customers to provide unique solutions for their operations that create efficiencies. We call this initiative Designed Solutions,” said Edward Shelton, VP of Business Development. “The Designed Solutions Initiative was born from the collaboration between Fortis and one of our customers that asked us to help them create efficiencies and save money in these tough times. By designing a unique combination of equipment and services, we were able to save them over $9,000 a day.”

“We entered the North Dakota market with three rigs in October of 2013. By December of 2014 we had seven rigs operating in the field. Our service footprint nearly doubled in less than one year,” states Nathan Conway, CEO. “Our management team has a long history of working in the North Dakota oilfields and we draw our crews from local residents with experience working in the Bakken play. With top quality men and equipment we are capable of servicing the entire Williston basin.”

Fortis’ Designed Solutions Initiative has helped to shield the company and their customers from the impact of dropping oil prices. As Conway explains, “The key during this time is to provide efficiency for the customer. As we build comprehensive service packages and reduce the number of service providers on a given site at one time, we can deliver our customers savings of up to 20%, 30% and even 56%.”

“Our acquisition of new equipment is in direct response to our customers needs,” states Conway. “Our Designed Solution Initiative supports our clients in the field and provides the efficiency of operation that is demanded in the marketplace today. At Fortis, continuous improvement is a core value and the foundation of our success.”

As well designs develop and change in all of their regions, Fortis continues to select and offer the most heavily-rated, robust equipment to meet the constantly changing needs of their growing customer base. This acquisition of new, highly-capable and reliable, heavy-duty equipment, is a direct result of the Fortis growth strategy.
