Hope For The Warriors® Opens Registration for the 10th Annual Run For The Warriors®
Jacksonville, NC (PRWEB) January 27, 2015 -- Registration is now open for 10th Annual Run For The Warriors® in Jacksonville, NC on Saturday, May 16, 2015. All races start at Jacksonville High School and the run will consist of a Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, and 1-Mile Walk/Run. Run For The Warriors® was established in 2006 by military wives at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, NC as a fundraiser for military families. The success of the first Run For The Warriors® led to the creation of Hope For The Warriors®, a national non-profit which serves to restore hope for service members, their families, and families of the fallen.
The event Prices will increase by $5 on March 16, 2015 and again by $5 for same-day registration. Veterans, those on active duty, and students all receive a $10 discount for the Half Marathon and $5 discount for all other races. Children under 10, Gold Star Families, and Wounded Warriors all receive free admittance.

Run For The Warriors® races are unique events dedicated to the men and women wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan, their families, and families of the fallen. It is a celebration of their strength and resolve and a promise to continue restoring self, family, and hope. The goal of each race is to establish a long-term understanding and respect for the needs of local military families in their communities. The Run For The Warriors® race series also provides wounded service members encouragement and the opportunity to pursue the sport of running, walking, or cycling to assist in their physical and emotional rehabilitation.
