Stanley Consultants Expands Power Delivery Group
DENVER, Colorado (PRWEB) January 23, 2015 -- Two experienced power delivery professionals, Don Douglas and Kevin Elveton, have joined Stanley Consultants’ Energy Business Unit. Douglas has been hired as the Senior Power Delivery Group Manager, and Elveton has joined as the Transmission and Distribution Group Manager. Both are located in the firm’s Denver, Colorado office.

In his new role as Senior Power Delivery Group Manager, Douglas will plan and direct the activities of the Power Delivery Group, which encompasses over 150 transmission, substation and distribution professionals working in multiple offices. He comes well qualified to the position with over 35 years of diverse experience in electric utility transmission and distribution planning, engineering, operations and construction. He is also well versed in electric market structure, regional transmission organizations, and regulatory affairs. For 30 years he honed his skills in engineering and strategic planning management as he advanced through the ranks at a large electric utility in Ohio. In the late 1990s and early 2000s he was instrumental in leading teams from nine large electric utilities and consulting firms in the development of a joint venture to create a for-profit transmission company/ regional transmission organization. He has most recently served as a consultant for electric utilities in areas of advanced technology and transmission operations.
In his new position as Transmission and Distribution Group Manager, Elveton reports to Douglas. He comes to the position with over 20 years of experience in civil / structural engineering and over 10 years in power delivery management. He has a strong background in project management, engineering management, and business development and a proven track record of expansion and growth while working at large utility, construction, and consulting engineering firms. In this senior level position, Elveton is responsible for all aspects of the transmission and distribution group. He will execute group plans and manage line organization functions, work to expand business volume, set budgets, and supervise department managers and group staff members to meet established objectives.
