We hope to offer a forum for thoughtful, engaging and fun exchanges of ideas.

The Wickford Group is joining the online legal conversation with its new blogging initiative, The Client’s Perspective. Drawing on its members’ experiences as in-house practitioners, and tapping into its network of corporate counsel and private practitioners, The Wickford Group offers The Client’s Perspective to provide insight and commentary on the variety of activities and issues permeating throughout the legal world.
“The legal landscape changed dramatically after the debt crisis in 2008,” said Valeria Bailey, Managing Director and General Counsel of The Wickford Group, “But in many ways, the changes we’re seeing today are more pronounced. The escalation of mergers that create mega law firms, the more pervasive use of creative alternative pricing, innovations in law department management, the intense competition to land the most talented associates and rainmaking partners, among others, make this current legal environment the most compelling in decades.”
The Client’s Perspective will launch on January 28th amid strong growth in intelligent online legal discussions. “There’s a lot of great dialogue going on in the legal community right now,” said Rod Boddie, Principal and Senior Advisor of The Wickford Group, “We’re not trying to supplant any of the voices out there, we just want to supplement the thought-provoking discourse with a different perspective. We, and our network of in-house counsel, will use this platform to offer the client’s view on matters commonly discussed in the legal community, as well as those issues that nobody is talking about. We hope to offer a forum for thoughtful, engaging and fun exchanges of ideas. We’re really looking forward to diving in.”
