CyberX, the leading provider of unified security platforms for the Operational Network, has announced today that it has joined the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC). The IIC is an open partnership organization founded in March 2014 by AT&T, GE, Cisco, IBM and Intel, in the effort of creating an ecosystem of industry leaders, government agencies and academia organizations. The main focus of IIC is to accelerate the adoption of the Internet of Things while defining industry standards for security, privacy and performance.
“Though the Industrial Internet is rapidly changing our lives with the convergence of machines and intelligent data, the transformation to the full Industrial Internet cannot prosper without cyber-security as one of its pillars”, says Omer Schneider, CEO, CyberX.
XSense, CyberX’s flagship product, is part of a fully agnostic solution that easily integrates into any operational network. Its powerful anomaly detection engine turns it into the only situational aware solution in the market.
“The members of the IIC are concerned with all aspects involved in the development, adoption, and wide-spread use of Industrial Internet technologies including the critical need for a secure infrastructure,” said Dr. Richard Soley, Executive Director, Industrial Internet Consortium. “With their experience in network security solutions and critical infrastructure protection, we welcome CyberX’s contributions in IIC Working Group activities.”
“Industry leaders understand, now more than ever, that an attack on critical infrastructure will inevitably cause far worse havoc and damage than the attacks we are accustomed to in the IT world. We are truly excited to join IIC and be part of group of industry leaders who are defining the standards for the Industrial Internet”, adds Schneider.
CyberX provides an advanced security platform for the Industrial Internet, focusing on Energy utilities and the Gas & Oil industry. Though the Industrial Internet is rapidly changing our lives with the convergence of machines and intelligent data, the transformation cannot prosper without cyber-security as one of its pillars. CyberX’s solutions secure these networks with its situational aware and fully-agnostic technology.
