Global Tel*Link (GTL), the leading provider of integrated correctional technology solutions, announces that it has hired Chris Pickering as its new Intelligence Tools Team Lead. Pickering, who has over 25 years of law enforcement experience, comes to GTL after serving as the State of Missouri Homeland Security Coordinator for three years. Prior to that, Mr. Pickering served as Inspector General of the State of Missouri Department of Corrections, as well as the Chief Investigator of the Public Safety Division of the State of Missouri Office of the Attorney General.

In his new position at GTL, Mr. Pickering will assist GTL’s customers in implementing GTL’s industry leading intelligence tools, including GTL Data IQ, paving the way for mining, and visualizing, large amounts of raw data resulting in actionable intelligence saving investigators countless man-hours over traditional investigative methods. Mr. Pickering will help to ensure that all intelligence applications are developed and implemented using each customer’s specific data to bring the greatest value to investigators in their mission to ensure the safety and security of facilities.

In addition to his other roles in Missouri, Mr. Pickering has served as an executive board member of the Mid-States Organized Crime Information Center (MOCIC), a RISS federal secure law enforcement data sharing and communications center. The RISS program helps law enforcement agencies to successfully resolve criminal investigations and prosecute offenders, while providing the critical officer safety event deconfliction necessary to keep the law enforcement community safe.
