Riverside Research Awarded $49 Million NASIC Contract
Dayton, OH (PRWEB) January 28, 2015 -- Riverside Research, a not-for-profit scientific research company providing trusted solutions to the US Department of Defense (DOD) for nearly half a century, was awarded the National Air and Space Intelligence Center’s (NASIC) “Advisory and Assistance Services, Geospatial and Signatures Intelligence” contract. This $49 million, 5-year, single-award contract enables Riverside Research to continue supporting NASIC in the advancement of technologies that preserve national security.
“Riverside Research is dedicated to advancing the NASIC mission,” said Riverside Research President Richard Annas. “Our expertise in geospatial intelligence (GEOINT), measurement and signatures intelligence (MASINT), and persistent infrared (PIR) analysis enables us to provide NASIC with steadfast independent technical and management services.”
The effort encompasses a range of technical and management pursuits including execution of research and development in the aforementioned domains, guidance of operations and maintenance activities, and assistance in information technology system acquisition. Ultimately aiming to cultivate a collaborative environment between the center’s DOD and Intelligence Community partners, Riverside Research will also facilitate outreach and technical engagement.
Riverside Research has been an active mission partner to NASIC for over a decade and has been on contract to provide similar advisory and assistance services to the GEOINT and MASINT missions since 2009. Working with teammates Deloitte LLP and the University of Dayton Research Institute, the company is pleased to continue supporting NASIC’s efforts to meet the intelligence needs of warfighters and national policy makers.
“Riverside Research is honored to continue its longstanding service to NASIC’s Geospatial and Signatures Intelligence Group (NASIC/GS),” said Michael Nelson, Riverside Research Intelligence and Defense Solutions Director. “We are committed to providing technical excellence and trusted solutions to all of NASIC/GS’s programs in support of their mission to provide the Intelligence Community and the DOD with premier MASINT, GEOINT and PIR services.”
