The Next Steps in Dental Sleep Medicine Education

The clinical material will be presented by John Tucker, DMD. The business of sleep and dental sleep team protocols will be offered through OSA University. The first NEXT STEPS course will be sponsored by OSA University and Dental Prosthetic Services and presented in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on February 13-14, 2015.

The Next Steps course will include a treatment participation model that involves the collaboration with physicians. Other learning modules also include treating the edentulous patients with oral appliances, understanding the effects of Vertical Dimension Change, learning the Sleep Bruxism and Obstructive Sleep Apnea connection, understanding UARS vs. OSA, and comprehending follow up and split-night sleep studies.
OSA University will provide information on advanced dental sleep team protocols including patient engagement, handling objections and treatment awareness initiatives. Case presentation will be taught and medical billing protocols will be presented.
