Incentivizing Canadian drivers to take out a UBI policy plan

For UBI in Canada to reach 10% of policyholders (as it has done in the United States), insurers need to understand consumer motivations and reservations so that the right marketing angle can be found to attract new drivers.

Jack Palmer, Project Director at TU-Automotive and moderator for the webinar, added, “Last year was the break-out year for insurance telematics in Canada. Whilst the technology is still very new and exciting, insurers need to see real ROIs from usage based insurance. A great starting point is to figure out what consumers really think about such products – and this is what we will uncover in the webinar.”

The live webinar will cover:

  •     How marketing campaigns can educate and enlighten the consumer so that more leads are created for insurers to build their book of business
  •     The need for insurers to create marketing campaigns that can be modified to attract different segments of the market (e.g. Gen Y/Millennials will be more open to interaction on social media than older drivers)
  •     How far have we come? Discover if the Canadian public's concerns about privacy and data ownership have started to wane due to evidence of improved driving, reduced premiums and a media spotlight on how the technology works

Registrants will also have the opportunity to join in live polling and Q&A with the speakers, as well as gain exclusive insights to the insurance telematics industry from these thought leaders.
