NCIS New Orleans Cast to Ride as Monarchs in Orpheus Mardi Gras Parade
New Orleans, LA (PRWEB) January 27, 2015 -- On Monday, February 16, the cast of NCIS New Orleans, the #1 new show of the television season with new episodes averaging over 17 million viewers, will be monarchs in the Krewe of Orpheus parade. Stars Lucas Black, Zoe McLellan, Rob Kerkovich and CCH Pounder will join show creator Gary Glasberg as they lead the Orpheus parade through New Orleans on Lundi Gras, the Monday before Fat Tuesday.
"NCIS New Orleans has been a great ambassador for the city of New Orleans, said Sonny Borey, Captain of the Krewe of Orpheus. "It is only fitting to honor the stars by making it possible for over a million of their fans to see them on our celebrity float during the Orpheus parade."
Once inside the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, the stars will welcome guests at Orpheuscapade, the gala held after the parade. The event will also feature the New Orleans premiere of a first-ever hi-tech experience that will be a first for Mardi Gras and continue the theatrical fashion for which the Krewe of Orpheus is known.
"On behalf of everyone at NCIS New Orleans, I can honestly say we're thrilled and delighted to join the Orpheus Krewe for Mardi Gras 2015," said show Executive Producer and Creator Gary Glasberg. "It's a genuine honor to participate in Orpheuscapade and we can't wait to experience our first parade and have some fun!"
Headlining Orpheuscapade will be award-winning country music singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley. His five previous studio albums have sold more than five million copies, garnered 11 GRAMMY nominations, and earned him an invitation to join the Grand Ole Opry. His latest single is titled, Say You Do.
No Limits, the nationally acclaimed 11-piece show band, and Wes Raymond & the Soul Factory will also be on hand for the Lundi Gras festivities. 2015 Orpheuscapade Preview video.

About the Krewe of Orpheus
The Krewe of Orpheus, founded in 1993 by Captain Sonny Borey and Harry Connick, Jr., derives its name from the mortal Orpheus, son of the god Apollo and the muse Calliope. One of the city’s “super krewes”, Orpheus is consciously nonexclusive and New Orleans most diverse krewe boasting 1,200 members from all walks of life. The parade rolls on Lundi Gras and culminates with the Orpheuscapade, a black-tie party that draws thousands of revelers to welcome the floats through the convention center while being entertained by world-renowned musicians.
