Plano, TX (PRWEB) January 28, 2015
With its agents working anywhere across the United States, Working Solutions is being recognized in FlexJobs 2015 list of Top 100 Companies to Watch for Telecommuting and Remote Jobs.
Working Solutions ranks # 13 on the list, right behind Dell and ahead of name brands such as American Express, Apple, General Electric, 3M and CIGNA. Its network of 110,000+ independent agents operates in all 50 states, offering fast-flex workforce solutions to complement client sales and support operations.
Sara Sutton Fell, founder and CEO of FlexJobs, said: “The organizations on this list are among those leading the charge to show that remote work options are a part of successful 21st-century workplaces."
The list was compiled after analyzing “over 30,000 companies and their job posting histories in FlexJobs’ database,” according to the job service, based in Boulder, Colorado. It reported a 26% increase in “telecommuting, or work-from-home, jobs posted over the last year.”
For almost 20 years, Working Solutions has practiced its Work Anywhere Agent™ business model, serving clients and their customers in consumer services, healthcare, retail, travel, transportation, hospitality and other industries.
“We’re certainly in good company,” said Working Solutions CEO Tim Houlne, as he reviewed the list that includes Amazon and Xerox in the second year of the FlexJobs annual rankings.
“What we’re seeing here reflects a fundamental shift to more mobility, flexibility and independence in today’s workforce—and it’s accelerating for businesses, big and small,” said Houlne, co-author of the book, The New World of Work: From the Cube to the Cloud.
Decades in the making, the 21st-century workplaces that FlexJobs CEO talks about are being shaped by several market forces, Houlne believes.
Work is fractionalized: It’s being divided into by-the-job projects and parceled off to talent-on-tap. Think of it as a Lego® world, where work gets done in pieces by ever-ready professionals—and then snapped back together.
Technology is virtualized: Omni-channel technology is redefining the workplace, elevating it from the cube to the cloud. Virtual platforms liberate production, with interactions being done anywhere, by anyone qualified.
Talent is globalized: Said another way, labor is no longer local or locked in. Businesses hire workers wherever they find the talent. Call it E-economics 101—the new world of free trade built on evergreen skills.
The FlexJobs Top 100 list calls out organizations that understand the impact of these forces and factor them into the way they do business, Houlne said.
“Enabled by virtual technology, a modern and mobile workforce can be more responsive and effective. Fact is, the digital dynamics of doing business anytime, anywhere demand it.”
