Middletown, PA (PRWEB) January 27, 2015
Each year, the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) hosts the Combined Sections Meeting event where approximately 10,000 physical therapists and other rehabilitation professionals can share their expertise, learn about new technologies and explore the latest physical and occupational therapy trends. This year, APTA’s celebration will be held in Indianapolis, IN, at the Indianapolis Convention Center from February 5-7, 2015.
On February 6, 2015, from 5:00-6:30 p.m., HydroWorx will host an after-hours event, “The Value of Water,” in booth #1310. Following the panel presentations, HydroWorx will announce the first Healthcare Excellence in Aquatics award recipient.
“The Value of Water” attendees will enjoy cocktails and hors’ d’oeuvres as they learn more about water therapy from distinguished speakers; Dr. Dennis Dolny, Ph.D. and Eadric Bressel, Ed.D. (Utah State University); Keith Ori, B.S., PT (Co-owner, Orthopedic Rehab Facilities, MT); and Veronica Paquette, PT, ATRIC (Owner, Essex Aquatic & Rehab Center, VT). Topics of conversation will include how to start, maintain and grow successful aquatic therapy programs; the evidence-based research available on aquatic therapy; facility design considerations for water therapy approaches and more. Cash prizes will be awarded throughout the evening. The festivities will culminate with naming the first ever Healthcare Excellence in Aquatics first-place and second-place winners at 6:15pm.
The nominees for the 2015 HydroWorx “Healthcare Excellence in Aquatics” honor include: Leg Up Farm, Premier Rehabilitation, Pullman Regional Hospital and UP Rehab Services. “We have four excellent and inspirational nominees,” asserts Rob Miller, Vice President and Sales Director. “With the number and quality of the nominations it will be very competitive, and we are excited to unveil the winner at APTA-CSM.” More information about the nominees is available at http://ww2.hydroworx.com/vote-hc-2015.

HydroWorx, the leading manufacturer of world-class therapy pools and peripheral products, is a familiar face at APTA-CSM. This year, the company will showcase a full-sized world-class therapy pool. Visitors to their booth can submit their information to potentially win prizes; they can also reserve a 15-minute pool experience.
“We look forward to increasing the awareness of the power of water,” concludes Miller. “Aquatic therapy is the ‘wave’ of the future for PTs and their clientele. We regularly see how powerful water is as a rehabilitative medium for patients of all ages, especially when those patients are under the guidance of ‘innovative care givers’ who desire better outcomes for those they serve.”
Since the late 1990s, HydroWorx has manufactured aquatic therapy pools with integrated underwater treadmills to enable physical therapists to more effectively offer their patients the opportunity to recover from injury faster and pain-free, decrease risk of falls and joint stress and remain motivated through the rehab process.
Products such as the HydroWorx 2000 and 500 Series therapy pools have revolutionized the face of aquatic therapy; in fact, HydroWorx technology is used by world-class facilities like the renowned Kennedy Krieger Institute and The Andrews Institute, as well as physical therapy clinics across the country.
HydroWorx offers a wide range of underwater treadmill pools and peripheral products and services. Every day, more than 23,000 athletes and patients use HydroWorx technology to recover from injuries and health conditions.
