Kelly GunWorks, LLC is a new business offering firearm repairs, appraisals, retail firearm sales, Duracoat firearm coatings, and custom ammunition
Blythewood, SC (PRWEB) February 04, 2015 -- KGW's service staff is trained to service most brand named firearms, and KGW sells all makes and models of long guns and hand guns. KGW is an FFL licensed dealer that carries a substantial inventory of firearms and ammunition. Service parts are stocked for many popular guns. The machine shop is fully equipped with lathes, mills, welding equipment, etc.
An exclusive service is offered for rifles. We measure the leade of the weapon bore to the shoulder of the cartridge. KGW then determines the Overall Cartridge Length that will give the best average group size based on the velocity expected from the rifle. KGW will determine the bullet "jump" from the cartridge to the rifling that will give the best accuracy. Once this is determined, 5 rounds with 4 different bullet depths will be supplied. The customer fires the gun for accuracy. Whichever cartridge is most accurate (They are marked permanently) is the correct "recipe" for that gun. Boxes of 20 cartridges each are made for that individual gun.
KGW will do any service work needed on a firearm from general cleaning (strip the gun down to the last pin or screw, do a deep cleaning by ultrasound baths and chemical cleaning) to replacing the barrel of the gun, or a complete overhaul if needed.
Hand guns are a specialty. 1911's, Glock, S&W, Ruger, Rock River Arms, Sig Sauer are only a few of the makes KGW sells and services
KGW makes custom ammunition. KGW ammo is made on one of three progressive loaders. Each round is checked 5 times in the loading process using both electronic and visual means. Every 100th round is taken apart and measured for bullet depth, powder charge, cleanliness and primer seating. Every round is chamber checked as well.
There are many more services offered by KGW. KGW is a registered dealer for Duracoat firearm coatings. A gun may be painted with a very thin ceramic coating to change color. Worn pistol frames and slides can be brouht back to "new" condition and the gun surface will not rust, chip, or wear.
