Mugshots Grill & Bar Holds Benefit to Raise Money and Awareness for the Krewe of Awe Wildlife Animal Adoption Program
Covington, LA (PRWEB) January 28, 2015 -- Mugshots Grill and Bar will hold a benefit Wednesday, January 28 at 300 River Highlands Blvd. in Covington. They will donate 10% of sales to benefit the Krewe of Awe. The money raised at this event will be used to fund adoptions within their Animal Sanctuary Program. There will also be a Krewe of Awe coloring book page contest. The elephant and rhino, the two most endangered and threatened species, will be the two animals that attendees will color for a first place prize of $25 and a second place prize of $10. The winner will be announced at 8 p.m.
Recently, with the help of Covington businessman Charles Marsala, The Krewe of Awe set up a fund with the Northshore Community Foundation to help support a baby giraffe at the Global Wildlife Center in Folsom. The Krewe of Awe uses art to promote awareness of the possible extinction of wild animals, adopts orphan wild animals, and advocates for legislation.
“We are excited to involve the community in such a great cause that will help save these animals" said Mugshots Franchisee, Clint Walker. "This should be a very fun event."
