Georgia Manufacturing leaders are invited to join us for this historic event at he Capitol.

February 17th at 9:30 Governor Nathan Deal will declare the second annual “Buy From Georgia” Month. To mark the occasion Governor Deal will present a proclamation to the leadership of the Georgia Manufacturing Alliance (GMA). GMA is gearing up for hundreds of Georgia manufacturing companies to be represented at the second annual event to be held in the rotunda (North Wing) at the State Capitol.

The proclamation helps bring awareness about the many great products that are manufactured in Georgia and the positive economic impact that is made when businesses and general consumers commit to buy locally.

“The proclamation is another indication of Georgia’s commitment to create a business friendly environment for manufacturing. This simple idea drives sales by educating purchasing professionals in business and general consumers about the variety of goods that are produced in our state,” said GMA Founder and President Jason Moss.

As a result of the overwhelming positive feedback from the 2014 “Buy From Georgia” proclamation, the leadership team has extended an open invitation to manufacturers from around the state to participate in this historic event. It is FREE for manufacturing leaders to attend and be included in the official picture. However, reservations are required. Register at http://www.gamfgday.com

“Georgia Manufacturing Day at the capitol is an example of the type of unique events hosted by GMA. Each month GMA hosts a plant tour to education the business community and consumers statewide about what products are being made in their own back yards,” said Moss.

Recent manufacturing facility tours include:
Briggs and Stratton
ZF Wind Industries
Shaw Carpet
South Wire
Gwinnett Daily Post
Okabashi
MTI Baths
KD Manufacturing
SKF
Bold Controls
Dixie Industrial Finishing
TSI Solutions
CAT-ISO
PANOZ

And many more…

GMA serves the manufacturing community by hosting “Coffee and Connections” networking events for non-manufacturing support companies and technical “Lunch and Learn” educational sessions for manufacturing professionals. The full schedule can be found at http://www.georgiamanufacturingalliance.com

On November 18th GMA will host the first Georgia Manufacturing Summit. The summit will deliver a diverse set of industry executives to share first-hand insight from their manufacturing experience. Speakers discuss opportunities, challenges, and what they look for from manufacturing partners.

GMA has been creating profitable business connections for its members through direct referrals and events hosted year-round since 2008.
