Mortenson, a leading construction and development services company in Colorado, today announced that Taber Sweet has joined the organization as development executive in Denver. Sweet brings more than 16 years of commercial real estate experience to Mortenson and is focused on growing the company’s development business along the Front Range. He will lead development projects from project feasibility analysis, site selection and acquisition, planning and financing through completion.
Sweet joins the Mortenson office in Denver, led by Maja Rosenquist, vice president and general manager. Recent local projects where Mortenson provided integrated development and construction services include the Metro State University Denver Hotel Learning Center, which includes a Springhill Suites hotel.

Sweet was vice president of development at McWhinney and real estate manager at Sturm Financial Group before joining Mortenson.
