When asked if there was any information she’d like her readers to know, author Laura Hahn said, “After winning NBC’s Next Local TV Chef competition in spring of 2012, I embarked on a newfound passion and career of helping people through food. Shortly before the competition, I was diagnosed with gluten intolerance discovered while on a deployment in Iraq. I created a blog that allowed me to catalogue my creations and to connect with like-minded others who were also gluten intolerant. In turn, I started a restaurant consulting company, created a gluten-free food tour in Philadelphia, wrote for various online and print publications and hosted a number of cooking shows.”
