When asked what her inspiration was for writing the book, author Krista Marie simply said, “I took a vacation to Missouri and there was a really hot military guard at the gate with dark glasses. My imagination just ran with that after I saw him.”

She knows she must pick one before both of them get hurt. Jess is a very feisty woman but also doesn’t like to be man handled, so when some guy tries to harm her at a dance club military man comes to the rescue. She learns she really doesn’t need rescuing until later on.
