The concert will feature songs written by Douglas Hirsch along with some classic Jewish Nigun and Songs. It will be a spiritual journey through a fusion of blues, country, Jewish and world music.
“I want to explore the similar textures, harmonies and melodies shared by all of the styles of music I play.”
Douglas will be joined by a fabulous group of musicians, including Rabbi Marc Philippe of Temple Emanu-El. The audience will hear a well coordinated and improvised evening of music that will speak to their hearts.
"The essence of the evening is that all these styles live in the spiritual and mystical part of all of us."
"I want the audience to see hear and feel the crossroads of my love for all these styles, how they fit together and speak from the same language."
The instrumentation will include Latin percussion, accordion, bass, flute and Doug’s Guitars. The audience will encounter various combinations of instruments, bringing to life amazing sonic paintings. Doug will play different instruments from his collection.
