Creature Weekend Conference Holds Art Exhibit at Salt Fork State Park Lodge to benefit Guernsey County Dollars for Scholars

“The Crypto Art Exhibit is an event which showcases some of the incredible talents of Cryptozoology-minded artists and recognizes their hard work and generosity for a great cause..." -Bruce Harrington, Exec. Director of Creature Weekend

For 2015, Creature Weekend will be hosting the first ever Crypto Art Exhibit at Salt Fork State Park. This is a great opportunity for artists to get exposure for their talents! The art submissions will be displayed in the lower lobby of the Salt Fork State Park Lodge along with the artist's name. Artists who donate submissions to the Crypto Art Exhibit will be featured on the website, included in the Creature Weekend printed program and featured on the Creature Weekend website. The purpose of the event is to raise money for academic scholarships, while at the same time, afford wide exposure to the selfless artists who participate in the event.

The art exhibit will run from 10AM to 8:00PM on May 2nd at the Salt Fork State Park Lodge and is free and open to the public. Artwork may be submitted prior to the event with prior approval. Any artwork that will be shipped to the Exhibit, must be received by March 31st. Art submissions must be Cryptozoologically themed (i.e. either about Cryptids [e.g. Bigfoot, Sea Serpents, etc.] or promoting the Creature Weekend Event). There are no “hanging fees” for submitting artwork to the Crypto Art Exhibit. Artists do not need to be present at the event to participate but are responsible for shipping or delivering the artwork to the venue. There are no minimum or maximum pieces that can be donated by an artist but due to space constraints, we ask that each piece of art work be no more than 4x6x4 feet in length, width and height and have a weight of no more than 100lbs.

After the Dinner Break, the art submissions will be auctioned off to conference attendees and the proceeds will be donated to the Guernsey County Chapter of Dollars for Scholars. Over the past several years, Creature Weekend has donated thousands of dollars to the Guernsey County Chapter of Dollars for Scholars and appreciates the support it has received from the local Cambridge community. If you are an artist and would like to participate in the Crypto Art Exhibit, please contact martin@creatureweekend.com .
