The Carlson Law Firm Announces Three New Partners
Killeen, Texas (PRWEB) January 30, 2015 -- The Carlson Law Firm is excited to announce Austin personal injury attorney, L. Todd Kelly, Temple personal injury attorney, Julie Peschel and Killeen personal injury attorney, Scott Crivelli as partners of the firm.
From Nacogdoches, Kelly has been known for his success through his many awards and honors he has accumulated over the years. The Dickson Law School graduate has been recognized for Houston’s Top Lawyers in 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2012. He has been named Texas Super Lawyer and Texas Monthly Top Attorneys from 2011 to 2014. Along with his Martindale-Hubbell AV Rating, he was recognized for Excellence in Personal Injury Litigation by Texas Monthly Magazine last year.
Kelly was a Marine from 1987 to 1998 starting from a combat engineer to a Major in the Judge Advocate Branch. Before joining the Carlson Law Firm, he owned The Kelly Law Firm in Houston from 2006-2012. While he was in Houston, he tried a case that gained national attention, changed the rules related to military contractors overseas and defeated the arbitration provision in one major military contractor’s employment contracts for the first time ever.
Kelly now handles mostly sexual assault and medical malpractice cases, but also a wide range of serious vehicle collisions. In 2012, he was put in the inaugural Texas Lawyer Hall of Fame for a successful verdict of $16.9 million.
“Becoming a partner here is an honor because of the caliber of attorney that I have the privilege to work with, and the selection of cases that we are fortunate enough to be able to work on. We are blessed to have quality people to work with in our offices, and that is accentuated by the level of concern that our staff shows for the clients we represent,” said Kelly.
Peschel graduated from Baylor University School of Law. She is a member of the Junior League of Bell County, Texas Young Lawyers Association, Texas Trial Lawyers Association and Bell County Young Lawyers Association. She is also a part of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
From Englewood, Colorado, she came to The Carlson Law Firm right out of law school and handles mostly personal injury cases. Her cases include 18 wheeler and car collisions, dog bites, slip and falls, wrongful death and more. With seven-figure settlements, she is constantly working to bring her practice to the next level.
“Becoming partner is such an honor and a great opportunity for me to continue to grow with the firm and to really expand my practice. I have worked at the Carlson Law Firm my entire legal career, having the opportunity to run my office here in Temple. Being partner allows me to be able to work with more offices and attorneys within the firm and really help the firm grow and reach new heights, which I am excited about,” said Peschel.
Crivelli was born in New Jersey and grew up in Indiana. He graduated from Indiana University law school in Indianapolis. Before coming to The Carlson Law Firm as a personal injury attorney, he was a U.S. Judge Advocate General (JAG) Attorney in the Army for six years.
He has led the Killeen personal injury department for the past two years. He has served as lead counsel in high profile cases covered by national media such as CNN, LA Times, NY Daily Times, Boston Globe, Rolling Stone Magazine and much more.
Their new positions went into effect on the first of the year.
