The Ronald McDonald House is a local non-profit that serves as a “home-away-from-home” to many families who have children who are seriously ill and are undergoing medical treatment. The house is a place where families can stay while still enjoying the comforts of home. The Ronald McDonald House includes a full size kitchen and individual bedrooms and bathrooms for the guests to stay comfortably. Most nights volunteers will create a nice dinner for the families to enjoy each evening.

AdvantaIRA Trust volunteered one of the evenings to make dinner for the families of the Ronald McDonald House. “My employees love to volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House,” says Dave Owens, managing partner of AdvantaIRA Trust, “it’s always a great experience for everyone involved.” The staff at AdvantaIRA Trust decided to make a Mexican themed dinner consisting of chicken and beef tacos, white rice and black beans, and tortilla dessert cups.

The staff at the self-directed IRA firm look forward to volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House again soon.
