Blake Strong, Dealer Principal for Audi Salt Lake City, announced the official Grand Opening of the company’s newest New Car Showroom. The private VIP dedication and celebration will take place on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 999 South State Street in Salt Lake City. It will feature remarks by Audi Corporate Executives, dignitaries, VIP tours, along with dinner by Surefire Pizza and live music by Changing Lanes. Audi Salt Lake City is a member of the Strong Auto Group.

The 20,000 square foot facility has been designed and constructed to precise Audi corporate architectural standards. It is sleek, contemporary, efficient and thoroughly user-friendly. Most importantly, it reflects the Audi–and the Strong Auto Group–commitment to an owner experience of the highest caliber. The showroom floor will accommodate 11 new cars, and feature dramatic, 20-foot, floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides of the building.

Perhaps the most visually arresting feature of the facility is The Road Wall. This striking architectural element represents a long, 60-degree banked turn on Germany’s famed Autobahn. It stretches the entire length of the showroom, and contains a series of LED lights that simulate the white, dashed lines in the center of the roadway.

According to Mike Cagle, Director, Western United States for Audi of America, "The Strong family’s facility investment is a clear commitment to better serve current Audi clients and reach new prospects looking for a progressive luxury vehicle. The Audi Terminal project in Salt Lake will result in the largest Audi new and Certified Pre-owned showrooms in the Utah, executed in a progressive manner that speaks to our beautifully designed vehicles.”

According to Dealer Principal Blake Strong, “This beautiful new facility is another legacy of the wonderful collaboration between the Strong family and Audi of America, our partners in the Salt Lake market since 1969, and stands as an example of what can be accomplished when a true automotive partnership exists. The Grand Opening event is perfectly timed, as we celebrate the 48th month of record monthly sales.”

About the Strong Auto Group: The rich and fascinating story of the Strong Auto Group began with auto pioneer Leroy Hobson “Roy” Strong back in the early 40s. The Strong car dealerships have the distinction of operating the longest, continuous-running import auto business in the state; they owned the first VW/Porsche/Audi franchises in Utah; they have operated from downtown Salt Lake City since the early 1940s. The company is now entering its fourth generation and 70th year of family ownership.
