The economic developers selected for the list were nominated by their colleagues in both the economic development industry and the site consultant community for excellent practices, innovation and success in building the communities they serve.

“Being selected by site selection professionals and your peers to such a small list is truly a great honor, “ stated Wathen. “Successful economic development doesn’t occur in a vacuum and succeeds only when you have the right team with the right vision going in the right direction.”

Other Indiana honorees were Victor Smith, Indiana's Secretary of Commerce, Wendy Dant Chesser , President & CEO of One Southern Indiana and Marty Vanags, Vice President of the Indy Partnership.
