HotDocs and LexisNexis to Offer Cloud Distribution of Legal Forms
Lindon, Utah and Edinburgh, UK (PRWEB UK) 2 February 2015 -- HotDocs, the market leader in document generation software, has joined with LexisNexis to provide online distribution, via the cloud, of four subscription based form compilations containing more than 2,000 legal forms resulting from a long-standing relationship between LexisNexis and the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA).
Previously accessible only through desktop-installed software, these forms (in practice areas, such as probate and administration, family law, guardianship and real estate) will soon be available to attorneys using their Windows and iOS® devices via HotDocs® Market—a new cloud-based, e-commerce marketplace. These forms are intended for use by attorneys and will be showcased at the HotDocs Market launch at LegalTech® New York in early February 2015.
Several thousand additional forms published by LexisNexis, such as California Judicial Council forms, Michigan State Court Admin Office (SCAO) forms, Connecticut Probate Court forms and Florida Probate forms will be added to HotDocs Market over the next several months.
“HotDocs Market is the first product of its kind to offer the U.S. legal community the ability to subscribe to a host of professionally crafted forms across multiple practice areas and jurisdictions in a cloud-based, e-commerce environment,” said Dave Lampert, president of the company’s North American division. Lampert added, “HotDocs Market effectively untethers attorneys from their desktops while offering forms publishers a new distribution channel; we’re delighted to welcome LexisNexis as an early HotDocs Market publisher.”
“This agreement with HotDocs demonstrates the LexisNexis commitment to continuous technological improvements for users. Given our longstanding relationship with HotDocs, HotDocs is the natural partner to bring these and other LexisNexis forms to the cloud,” said Susan Slisz, VP, Print & Digital Solutions for LexisNexis.
Gartner, Inc.—the technology research and advisory firm—recently named HotDocs “best of breed” technology for content generation, and a “cool vendor” for content management.
