After strong 2014, Growth Acceleration Partners appoints former Dell executive Angela Marchant to lead sales team
AUSTIN, Texas (PRWEB) February 03, 2015 -- At Growth Acceleration Partners, the first step to successful software development relies on accurately defining the project.
That’s why the company searched high and low before naming its new vice president of sales, former Dell executive Angela Marchant. With experience ranging from early-stage growth companies to enterprise-level accounts, Marchant understands the importance of working consultatively with clients even before the contract is signed.
Growth Acceleration Partners (GAP) continued its impressive growth into 2015 and needed a dynamic sales executive to lead its existing sales organization.
“With the significant level of growth that GAP has been experiencing, it’s critical that we build a leadership team that can help scale up the organization,” said Joyce Durst, co-founder of GAP. “Angela has great experience with both small and large companies – a mix that is difficult to find. This is the perfect fit for GAP, where our clients range from first-time entrepreneurs to Fortune 500 companies.”
Most recently, Marchant served as a global client executive for Dell, Inc., where she led sales efforts targeting Fortune 50 companies for IT infrastructure, cloud and applications services. Her 14-year career at Dell also included assignments as global program executive, senior manager for global transition services, and global program manager.
“The future is in apps, and GAP is truly on the leading edge of the mobile-centric evolution,” Marchant said. “I’m excited by the energy and enthusiasm at GAP, as well as the opportunity to truly make a difference with our clients.”
Prior to joining Dell, Marchant led successful sales efforts at two Austin-area technology startups. As vice president of sales for Mytech Corporation, Marchant increased the company’s revenue by 360 percent in just two years, in part by developing both a U.S.-based direct sales channel and an international distributor program in Mexico, Canada, Germany and South America. While working as vice president of sales and operations for American 3CI, Marchant led merger and acquisition activities, as well as restructuring of nine medical waste companies. The resulting increase in revenue topped 400 percent.
Marchant earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from the University of Texas at Arlington. She lives with her family in Austin. In her free time, Marchant enjoys active pursuits like snow skiing, as well as coaching girls’ soccer and basketball teams.
