Dallas, TX (PRWEB) January 30, 2015 -- Cybersecurity consulting and managed services firm, Seccuris Inc., and ChoiceCyber, a division of telecommunications consulting and management company ChoiceTel, will be hosting two Enterprise Security Architecture events in Detroit this Spring. On Feb. 17 they will hold a free three-hour interactive introductory ESA Workshop. They will also conduct a comprehensive, in-depth three-day ESA Fundamentals training course March 23-25.
Enterprise Security Architecture (ESA) is based on Sherwood Applied Business Security Architecture (SABSA), the world's leading open security architecture framework and methodology. According to Seccuris, it’s important that any company that sells internationally be aware of SABSA security practices. ESA is also in direct alignment with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) guidelines on state-of-the-practice security controls in the United States. It features other best practices and frameworks, including TOGAF, ISO 27000 series, COBIT, and PCI-DSS, as well.
Presented by Geoff Besko, president of Seccuris and one of the only three SABSA Chartered Master Architects in North America, the ESA Workshop will feature an overview of what architectural frameworks and standards exist, how ESA integrates with current business and IT standards and practices, how ESA methods assure business value and create new opportunities, and how an ESA focus can assure long-term enterprise success and resiliency. There is no cost for this event and it includes complimentary lunch.
The ESA Fundamentals course will feature a hands-on, interactive environment designed to teach participants how to build and manage an effective and proven “business-driven” security program. Great Enterprise Security Architecture protects organizations without limiting business performance, and that’s what this course will help professionals achieve. Michael Legary, Seccuris founder and the second of the only three SABSA Chartered Master Architects in North America, will be the instructor. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Both ESA events are ideal for security and risk management professionals, architects, IT and network practitioners, and executives wishing to gain a greater understanding of building an effective and proven security program at a time when threats and attacks are growing more complex and dangerous every day.
