Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America Welcomes New Hospice Administrator
Wichita, Kan. (PRWEB) February 03, 2015 -- Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America (PMMA), a not-for-profit system of 18 senior living communities in Kansas and Missouri, has recently hired Joni Davis, RN, as the Hospice Administrator of its Senior Independence Hospice of Mid-America (SIHMA). SIHMA’s hospice will begin services within their Manor Communities before expanding to Sedgwick, Cowley, Harvey, Butler, Sumner, Reno, and Kingman Counties.
"I am excited to be a part of the PMMA family and look forward to partnering with our Manor Communities as we provide compassionate care to our residents and their families," said Davis.
A skilled professional registered nurse, Davis brings more than 28 years of experience in acute patient care, home health care, hospice care and long term care. She most recently served as the Director of Clinical Services at AseraCare Hospice in El Dorado, Kansas, planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating patient and family services. Davis’ extensive background also includes work as a traveling nurse.
Davis has bachelor's degrees in philosophy, music and biology from Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas, and a bachelor of science in nursing from St. Mary of the Plains College. She is a Red Cross volunteer and plays in the bell choir at First United Methodist Church in El Dorado.
