“While fashion brands are increasingly recognizing the need to offer high quality designer clothing to the plus-sized woman, fine jewelry brands have largely ignored this audience. Our Thistle & Bee Too flagship represents a new era in fine jewelry."

Building upon its global reputation as a leading designer of luxury sterling silver jewelry, Thistle & Bee has established its first branded retail venture with the opening of Thistle & Bee Too, a 600 square-foot boutique on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.

The Thistle & Bee Too flagship will offer many of Thistle & Bee’s bold, beautiful and classically inspired designs in an extended range of sizes, including a unique selection of styles tailored exclusively for the plus size woman. Addressing a void in the fine designer jewelry market, the Thistle & Bee Too selection includes rings in sizes 6-12, cuffs and bangles in sizes ranging from S-XL, and necklaces in a variety of extended lengths. Many signature Thistle & Bee collections will be offered, including Bamboo, Etoiles, Sterling and Gemstones, and a range of bold classics.

“This new retail store is an exciting venture for us on multiple levels,” says Richard Castagna, president and creator of Thistle & Bee and Thistle & Bee Too. “Having established Thistle & Bee as an international brand through our partnerships with our network of independent retail jewelers, we’re looking forward to complementing that wholesale business with our first branded retail store.”

Often overlooked by the designer jeweler industry, the full figured women’s fashion market is large and growing. According to Forbes magazine, the plus sized women’s clothing industry generated $16.2 billion in sales last year.

“While fashion brands are increasingly recognizing the need to offer high quality designer clothing to the plus-sized woman, fine jewelry brands have largely ignored this audience. Our Thistle & Bee Too flagship represents a new era in fine jewelry - as we have carefully curated our collection for the both our existing Thistle & Bee customer as well as for the plus-sized woman,” Castagna says.

Thistle & Bee Too, at 1382 Third Avenue in New York’s Upper East Side neighborhood, is open Monday through Saturday.
