MasterCard and AngelHack begin their search for the world’s best coders on February 7th and 8th in Sydney, Australia with their year-long global hackathon: MasterCard: Masters of Code. This will be the first of ten stops for MasterCard in the Series, taking place in ten of the most prominent tech cities around the globe.
Each city will have a unique theme, and Sydney’s will shine a spotlight on innovation and expanding mobile commerce. Home to a fast-growing tech startup scene, the Australian leg of Masters of Code is sure to uncover some of the countries strongest developers. Winners of the Sydney leg will move on to battle it out in Silicon Valley for the Finale against other winners from participating cities. Prizes include $100,000, in-depth mentorship from MasterCards top executives, and global recognition as a Master of Code.
The power lies in the following judges hands, as they take into consideration team’s usage of MasterCard’s APIs to create a product that is innovative, creative, simple and strongly-designed.
