Huntsville/Madison County CVB Launches #iHeartHsv Campaign to Generate Excitement About Rocket City as Visitor Destination
Huntsville, AL (PRWEB) February 02, 2015 -- It’s about time for a Huntsville/Madison County love fest. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) is asking its social media followers around the globe to name their Huntsville/Madison County favorites – those attraction, dining, shopping and off-the-beaten path places and activities they love most – using the hashtag #iHeartHsv on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Starting Monday, February 2, and lasting until Saturday, February 14, the Huntsville/Madison County CVB will pick a winner each night at 8:35 p.m. CST, awarding the most creative posts and pictures with Huntsville/Madison County prizes.
“The #iHeartHsv campaign was so popular last year that we saw locals and visitors alike continue to use the #iHeartHsv hashtag all year long to celebrate the things they enjoy most about the Rocket City,” President and CEO of the Huntsville/Madison County CVB Judy Ryals said. “Our goal with this campaign is just that, to celebrate those unique activities, venues, products and people that keep visitors coming to our community year after year as well as help maintain an extraordinary quality of life for our residents.”
Each day will have a theme or prompt for participants to respond to using the hashtag #iHeartHsv. Themes could include favorite locally made products, attractions or outdoor activities, etc. At the end of each day, a winner will be selected and awarded a prize. Prizes range from hotel stays, to attraction passes, dining experiences and more. A full list of prizes can be found on pages 3 and 4.
Winners will be selected by a committee of CVB team members and partners based on use of the hashtag #iHeartHsv, relevance to the day’s theme as well as posts that are deemed to best display the uniqueness of beauty and culture of Huntsville/Madison County as a visitor and meeting destination.
Those who participate in the campaign could even see their photos selected for use in an upcoming photo display project exhibited throughout Huntsville or in promotional pieces for Huntsville/Madison County that are distributed to national audiences.
The Holiday Inn Research Park participated in the #iHeartHsv campaign in 2014 by donating a stay at the property and has again elected to participate in 2015 by offering another 2 night weekend stay.
“Anytime we can be part of the myriad of activities or events in Huntsville, or the opportunity to showcase our city, we are totally in!” General Manager of the Holiday Inn Research Park Pete Doyle said. “We are proud to be a part of this community.”
