Allied American University (AAU), an accredited online university that offers online associate and bachelor’s degrees to students worldwide, announced today that it will hold a complimentary, live webinar titled, “Drug Cartels & Law Enforcement, ” on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 5:00 to 5:30 PM Pacific Time. The webinar will be hosted by AAU Criminal Justice Department faculty member, Brian Danigole.

“There are a diverse number of fields that prospective students may find themselves interested in when it comes to the study of criminal justice. Anyone with interest in the narcotics division of law enforcement and related fields will find this presentation useful and informative. With the recent decriminalization of marijuana in some states, many questions have been raised about how law enforcement is responding. Professor Danigole brings a tremendous amount of expertise to this subject, and if anyone is interested in studying criminal justice, they will gain some fantastic insight on this webinar,” says AAU Dean of Criminal Justice, Dr. Patricia Drown.

Professor Danigole will provide information on current topics and trends in narcotics and what to expect in the future of narcotics law enforcement. Specific topics to be discussed in the webinar include:

  •     The common drugs law enforcement officers are seeing in the community
  •     The growing trends
  •     Law enforcement’s response to drug abuse in the community and the legalization of marijuana
