The new Estero branch in Coconut Point for North American Title Co. won’t open until March. However, that hasn’t stopped the company from hiring a business consultant with 18 years of closing experience to start building relationships with the real estate professionals in the Cape Coral suburb.

Reers has 18 years of experience working on closings for banks, bank attorneys and mortgage companies. Her transition to the title industry was in 2005 when her family moved from Long Island, New York, to Estero. Her undergraduate degree is from Stony Brook University and she took her paralegal studies with Hofstra University, both in the New York City area.
“My experience in closings is vast, from opening a file through sending out the title policy – and all the processes in between,” said Reers. “This expertise allows me to educate my customers, providing them with confidence that we have the knowledge and skills to shepherd their transaction to a successful close.”
The relocation of the Hertz Corp. worldwide headquarters to Estero has caused an economic boom in Lee County, with an overall unemployment rate of 5.0 percent in December 2014 as compared to the U.S. rate of 5.6 percent for the same period. The median price for 2014 home sales in Estero was up 6.9 percent to $293,868 compared to the 2013 price of $275,000, according to data from the SWFLAMLS, a collaborative effort of several local multiple listing services.
Until the new Estero branch on Fashion Drive opens its doors in March, Reers will work out of North American Title’s Cape Coral office.
