Duncan, The Heart of the Chisholm Trail, to Host Lt. Governor's Travel and Tourism Summit in September 2015.
Duncan, OK (PRWEB) August 06, 2015 -- The Oklahoma Travel Industry Association has partnered once again with Lt. Governor Todd Lamb to produce the Lt. Governor's Travel & Tourism Summits, which are held around the state. Each half-day program provides tourism education featuring speakers covering a range of topics on best practices to promote tourism in that region, followed by a townhall-type discussion by the Lt. Governor on tourism development in each of the areas visited around the state. The programs conclude with a networking reception.
The three summits scheduled will be September 17, hosted by the Bartlesville Convention & Visitors Bureau at Woolaroc, 1925 Woolaroc Ranch Road with guest speaker: Mike Fullerton, Brand USA, September 24, hosted by the Duncan Convention & Visitors Bureau at the Simmons Center, 800 Chisholm Trail Parkway with guest speaker former Lt. Governor Jari Askins and October 26, hosted by Visit Tulsa at the Cox Business Center, with guest speaker to be announced.
The summit agendas will be the same at each location with 1:00 - 1:30pm Registration, 1:30 - 1:45pm Welcome by Host Community, 1:45 - 2:45pm Education Workshop – Part I, 2:45 - 3:00pm Break, 3:00 - 4:00pm Education Workshop – Part II, 4:00 - 4:15pm Break, 4:15 - 5:00pm Town Hall Meeting with Lt. Governor Todd Lamb, 5:00 - 6:00pm Networking Reception Hosted by Community for Lt. Governor and All Guests.
Full Registration is $45/person/event and includes Education Workshops, Breaks, Town Hall Meeting, and Networking Reception. Reception Only is $20/person/event and includes Town Hall Meeting and Networking Reception only.
