IOFM and The AP Network Announce AP Training Courses in Ft. Lauderdale, Houston and Boston
Portland, ME (PRWEB) February 03, 2015 -- The Institute of Finance and Management (IOFM) and The AP Network (TAPN), leading providers of training for AP professionals, have announced a series of live, one-day AP training courses in cities across the US this spring. The courses include both AP Certification Training and IRS Regulation Bootcamp. In the first quarter of 2015, trainings will be held in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Houston, Texas and Boston, Massachusetts.
AP Certification Training will be held at the Renaissance Ft. Lauderdale Cruise Port on Tuesday, February 17. The training instructor is Judy Bicking, former director of Shared Services at Johnson & Johnson and one of the leading AP trainers in the world. The course addresses critical areas of AP, including IRS compliance issues, internal controls and best practices. The class provides the training required to successfully pass the APS (Accredited Payables Specialist) or APM (Accredited Payables Manager) certification exam. More than 10,000 AP professionals have earned AP certification since the program's inception.
Another AP Certification Training will be held in Houston at the Marriott at George Bush Intercontinental Airport on Thursday, March 12. The instructor at the Houston training will be Pam Miller, IOFM's Education Director and and former Director of AP for BMC Select.
Also on March 12 in Houston, IOFM will hold an IRS Regulation Bootcamp with instructor Marianne Couch, JD, of Cokala Tax Information Reporting Solutions. Marianne Couch is the author of the "Master Guide to Form 1099 Compliance" and developed the Bootcamp specifically to educate AP pros on IRS reporting updates following the implementation of FATCA in 2014. Topics covered include form 1042-S, Forms W-8 and W-9, and Form 1099.
A second IRS Regulation Bootcamp will be held in Boston at the offices of Pri-Med on Wednesday, March 18. This will mark the fifth location for IOFM/TAPN's IRS Regulation Bootcamp. Since launching in Baltimore in 2014, IRS Regulation Bootcamp has trained AP professionals from leading organizations including Coca-Cola, FedEx, McGraw Hill, LEGO, and Liberty Mutual Insurance.
