Ashley Baldwin Marketing Director of McGee Wealth Management Selected into the Rising Leaders Program through Rising Leaders for Social Good Program
Portland, OR (PRWEB) February 04, 2015 -- Ashley Baldwin, marketing coordinator for McGee Wealth Management has been accepted into the Portland Oregon Rising Leaders for Social Good program. The goal of the SVP program is to introduce young professionals to venture philanthropy and prepare them for solving social sector problems through a specialized, yearlong SVP Partnership with complementary program.
“It is an honor to be selected to serve my community in this way, learn leadership skills from luminaries in the field of philanthropy and to find ways to create positive social change,” Baldwin says.
SVP believes that young professionals are the future of business and society in Portland. Through this program, the Rising Leaders offer social contributions to community to build and maintain a thriving citizenry. The Rising Leaders for Social Good program is a forum for learning, action and leadership in philanthropy to prepare Portland’s emerging leaders to positively impact their community.
“My hope for this program is to get an opportunity to learn how to be an exceptional leader and to find mentors that will be able to help cultivate my focus and ability to influence the subjects I feel passionately about,” says Ashley Baldwin.
The Rising Leaders consist of 25 motivated young professionals in their 20s and 30s from all sectors who are interested in developing their personal and professional leadership skills, maximizing their philanthropy, and connect with important and influential figures in the Portland community.
The SVP partnership engages the Rising Leaders in talent-based volunteering through the SVP portfolio of nonprofit investments. Rising Leaders make a financial and time commitment for giving to the community through programs that support needs and solve problems. Ashley Baldwin received a Bachelor’s of Arts in Social Science (emphasis in Women’s Studies and Sociology) from Portland State University in 2011. Her education provoked an already-present personal and professional interest in the dynamics of sociology, economics, and public policy.
