Park Water Company (Park Water) announced today that it has entered into a five-year public-private partnership agreement with the City of Bell Gardens, Calif. to manage the City’s water system. The City system serves approximately 1,650 primarily residential customers. The system also serves a number of commercial and industrial customers, including primary facilities such as city hall, the police station, county fire station and library. This partnership continues Park Water’s strategy to expand its regional presence to provide best-in-class water utility services to local communities and municipalities.

Under the terms of the five-year agreement, Bell Gardens will retain ownership of the system. Park Water will be responsible for all operational, periodic maintenance, water quality and customer care functions, and provide recommendations for system improvements. Park Water will implement certain improvements immediately, which will allow for improved operational efficiencies and system monitoring. Park Water knows the system well, having owned and operated the system until it was acquired by Bell Gardens in 1991.

“Park Water has a demonstrated track record of providing excellent customer service and has extensive experience in water utility management, operations and maintenance,” said Bell Gardens City Manager Philip Wagner. “We’re looking forward to this new partnership between the City of Bell Gardens and Park Water. We are both committed to delivering quality water to our community at the greatest value,” Wagner said.
