Joe Wallin and Mike Schneider Join Carney Badley Spellman
Seattle, Washington (PRWEB) February 04, 2015 -- Joe Wallin and Mike Schneider have moved to the Seattle law firm Carney Badley Spellman. Joe Wallin is a former partner at Davis Wright Tremaine and Mike Schneider is a former attorney at Wilson Sonsini and an app developer. The attorneys previously worked together at DLA Piper. They have joined Carney’s business group to help build a tech startup and emerging companies practice. Joe Wallin is well known in the technology industry and start-up community for his work on corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and angel and venture financings. He was also instrumental in the creation of Washington State’s equity crowdfunding bill. He provided an initial draft of the bill that the Governor signed into law in March of 2014, and was actively involved throughout the legislative and regulatory process. Mike Schneider assists software and technology companies with business transactions involving content or technology and counsels them on complex issues of intellectual property ownership and infringement.
John McDowall, Director of the Business Department at Carney Badley Spellman, summarizes the impact of their move as follows: “Joe and Mike provide outstanding counsel and support for emerging companies, helping them to compete and excel in Seattle’s fast-moving technology marketplace. Our firm has always been a well-rounded general services firm for local and regional middle-market businesses, which will provide a great platform for these emerging companies as Joe and Mike help them grow. We are obviously very excited about adding two great attorneys in this area and expanding our ability to serve our clients and the Seattle market.”
