While we develop hiring software, we really see Newton as a ‘people company,’ and we sincerely value our relationships both internally and externally.

The announcement follows strong performance in 2014: the company grew its customer base of small and medium-sized employers by over 33% and maintained a 95% customer retention rate. At the same time, Newton increased its US-based professional staff by nearly 40%.

“Newton’s strong, steady growth and our expanding footprint in the mid-market are a real tribute to the talent of our people and the loyalty of our core customers and partners,” says Joel Passen, Newton’s Head of Marketing and Co-Founder. “While we develop hiring software, we really see Newton as a ‘people company,’ and we sincerely value our relationships both internally and externally.”

Since 2009, Newton’s revenues and customer list have grown exponentially. Passen believes that the company, which is celebrating its 5th anniversary this year, is well positioned to continue growing faster than its major competitors: “Along with strong sales, we are hiring more people with industry and functional expertise at all levels.” In addition, each of the new offices will bring exciting employment opportunities.

Fort Collins, Colorado, was chosen to be the home of Newton’s newest technology center. The office staff includes engineering management, various levels of software engineers, and product leaders. The company will also expand the Colorado location to continue to scale sales and support operations later in the year. “Fort Collins offers us access to essential engineering and functional talent and will serve as a modern, collaborative tech hub for our growing team. Plus, we're excited to have a more permanent presence in a region that offers our employees the quality of life, opportunities, and values that we share as a company,” Passen says.

San Francisco remains the home of Newton’s headquarters. The company has secured more office space that will serve as the hub for all business operations. “We’ve never really considered ourselves a typical Bay Area tech company, per se,” Passen says. “We love being in San Francisco, and we’ve been fortunate to attract great people here. Our expansion in the Bay Area cements our commitment to the area, while our customer base continues to grow quickly in various regions in the US.”
