To equip our caregivers with better tools at the bedside, we needed a complete mobile platform with secure text messaging, voice calling, and alarm and alert notifications. Voalte satisfied all those needs.
SARASOTA, Fla. (PRWEB) February 03, 2015
Voalte®, the leader in healthcare communication technology, today announced that Boulder Community Health, which includes an acute-care hospital with 110 inpatient beds and a 25-bed Regional Trauma Center in Boulder, Colorado, equipped caregivers at its newly expanded facility with Voalte smartphones for mobile communication.
In October 2014, Boulder Community Health completed the consolidation of services at its state-of-the-art Foothills Campus, which has added more than 150,000 square feet of clinical space and medical offices since 2011. The newly renovated and expanded facility also needed a new way for caregivers to communicate.
“Enhancing our internal communication technology was an important component of our plan to transform the way we provide medical care to the Boulder County community,” said Linda Minghella, Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Boulder Community Health. “To equip our caregivers with better tools at the bedside, we needed a complete mobile platform with secure text messaging, voice calling, and alarm and alert notifications. Voalte satisfied all those needs.”
The hospital replaced single-function legacy phones with 250 Apple® iPhone 5S smartphones running Voalte One software. The new Voalte smartphones also integrate with Connexall alarm-management middleware to receive alerts and notifications from Hill-Rom and Nihon Kohden patient monitors.
“Boulder Community Health is a perfect example of how acute-care hospitals can implement a complete Mobile Communication Strategy,” said Trey Lauderdale, Founder and CEO of Voalte. “Leaders like Linda, who can envision the future of healthcare, can position their staff and their hospital for success by providing them with the most effective mobile tools.”
